We are currently seeking a Director of Human Resources, who will be responsible for overall operations of the human resources and payroll departments, to achieve overall strategic goals of the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Human Resources Dept initiatives
  • Ensure timely and accurate administration of leave, work comp, progressive discipline, policy administration, compensation, benefit and payroll programs
  • Analyze, access, input, and retrieve data.
  • Report pertinent information and assist with tasks to support department operations.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the Spirion products and market.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Customer Service delivery.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct/Ethics and Spirion Core Values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement employee relations and compensation administration policies, job descriptions, salary ranges, and maintain a multi-state employee handbook
  • Administer the processing of payroll, and coordination of withholding, unemployment, and applicable workman's compensation plans and deductions. Administer EEO-1 filing, mandated disability quarterly report, ensure SOC compliance, and employee file maintenance and retention compliance.
  • Devise procedures and practices for proactive recruitment and onboarding of staff. Maintain job requisition process, criminal history checks, pre-employment assessments, and completion of verifications of employment. Maintain Applicant Tracking System and other reporting.
  • Establish an orientation procedure for onboarding new hires and collaborating with Training Dept to train employees to meet the needs of the company.
  • Communication with employees regarding compensation, employee appreciation, and other facets of their employment.
  • Administer all benefit programs and renewals, leave management program, welfare plan compliance, 401k year end testing, COI, open enrollment process, and cobra administration. Coordinate wellness program, preventive care initiatives, and evaluate opportunities for enhancements to the current offerings, including reviewing benchmarking for contribution strategy annually.
  • Administer quarterly supervisions, performance evaluation program, dispute resolution, and coaching of Managers regarding progressive discipline and separations of employment.
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations for resolution for all employee relations concerns. Document employee relations matters as appropriate for the situation and in accordance with legal compliance and organizational policies and procedures. Review and provide constructive feedback on Corrective Action documentation and recommend appropriate level of action. Interpret HR policies and serve as the subject matter expert on employment laws and appropriately apply information to employee relations matters.
  • Assist with administration of Learning Management System, along with required annual state specific training annually. Implement career mapping.
  • Coordinate requests for proposal and assist with budget administration.
  • Administer Exit Interviews, touch points, and Employee Satisfaction Survey, to evaluate trends and retention opportunities.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, teambuilding activities, charitable activities and social accountability program and initiatives.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma. An undergraduate degree in human resources or business with coursework in business, psychology, writing, communication, management, or accounting a strong plus. PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP a plus. CEBS a plus. A minimum of ten years of experience in an HR department, in a leadership role required. Experience in technical recruitment or a relevant industry environment a strong plus. A minimum of five years of experience in a Payroll capacity a strong plus. Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws required. Experience working in a multi-state setting a plus. Experience with personnel file administration and compliance required. Experience with an Applicant Tracking System required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
