Job Description & Overview

Spirion LLC, an enterprise security, privacy and risk management software, is seeking a Jr. Systems Admin, responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. Jr. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain, configure and operate computer systems and servers.
  • Analyze, access, input, and retrieve data.
  • Report pertinent information and assist with tasks to support department operations.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the Spirion products and market.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Customer Service delivery.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct/Ethics and Spirion Core Values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of cloud environment (Azure).
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Install, update and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, business continuity, disaster recovery and failover procedures.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.

Requirements:

Qualifications: An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the Essential Functions.

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Systems Administration, or a closely related field, or combination of equivalent education and experience required.

Licensure/Certification: Technical certificate, such as Linux, Microsoft MCSE, or other network related fields strongly preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of cloud administration, network administration, or system administration experience, excellent communication skills. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols required. Strong knowledge of effectively maintaining helpdesk and IT operations best practices including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols preferred.
